Search Engine Optimization [SEO]

ACE is one of the largest furniture warehouses in the south but was having difficulty acquiring new customers due to outdated marketing techniques and big chain furniture stores dominating the online space. 17 West Digital worked with this local furniture retailer to help them compete against the big chain corporations of the south by tapping into the power of digital marketing.

ACE reached out to us in search of advanced marketing strategies that would help them take advantage of all marketing channels for their "hole-in-the-wall business". They wanted to utilize platforms that would help them raise awareness, increase revenue, retarget to interested customers, and much more.

By crafting an omnichannel growth strategy consisting of social ads and search engine marketing, we were able to reach millions of local customers, more than doubling ACE's revenue in 2019.  We also managed their new shopify store, creating fresh display content on their website, creating email marketing campaigns, and automating their abandoned cart email lists.

There were a lot of different moving parts that went into creating ACE's paid ads strategy. From creating reach and traffic campaigns for brand awareness, retargeting engaged users with conversion campaigns, to then running A/B tests on different creatives, there was a lot of effort put into this campaign. But it was all worthwhile. We were able to achieve an 8.27x ROA by cutting out underperforming creatives and optimizing campaigns that continued to perform well. After analyzing creatives, we found out that ACE's audience preferred in-store photos taken on an iPhone compared to professionally staged catalog pictures! And this seems to be a trend with ads now days. People prefer a more authentic experience when making a purchase over the perfect cookie cutter ad - just a food for thought.

Google

Taking advantage of search engines like Google was a key player in ACE's marketing success. The first thing that comes to mind when searching for furniture is finding the product, finding the best prices, and finding where to shop for it. And these actions all take place on Googles platform. That's why implementing SEO and Google ads went hand in hand in putting ACE's business at the top of customer searches.

E-commerce Management & Email Marketing

When managing ACEs e-commerce store, we updated their graphics based on seasonality and promotions they were running. We automated their abandoned cart emails to recover potential sales, generating $7481 in the first month. In order to quickly grow their email list, we also implemented a "Wheel of fortune" promotion that incentivized customers to sign up for their newsletter in return for promotional discounts.
